Re: One Positive
Dear coconuts
May your students say that they haven't done any maths this term - my son then in grade 2, composite class 2/3/4 - had measured the school with various items, played Shop including credits, vet, Dr, etc; they determined averages in student height, weight; estimated creek water storage and flow, discussed shapes and sizes plus much else. But - as my son adamantly said " no maths at all"(!)
They did have a lot of fun

Yep fluer, that's more my style. I did some of the activities last year but they had to be squeezed in and the kids loved it and learned tons. Super excited to do it full on this year with my 2/3 class.

Re: One Positive
Sounds fantastic coconuts. Each student will be able to learn at their current level. In son's multiple age classes, I noticed some older students operated at lower levels with some younger students thriving at a higher than expected understanding. Hopefully, your students shall Excell in best ways for themselves. No boredom!
Really happy for you to have freedom to offer different curriculum
Can be challenging yet extremely rewarding to have a composite class. Wishing you very well
