That The Who song is pretty powerful. I remembered hearing something about a Pete Townsend scandal and looked him back up. Sounds like he was a victim of childhood sexual abuse. There is a lot of pain in his lyrics.

I also watched that Stanfields video. Looks like a very angry little boy. Can relate tho my anger is more of a teenager.

I’m sorry you have had so much pain. Felt so isolated. I can relate. Here to support you. I hope you find lots of healing.

Love this topic! I come from a dance background so this is extra cool. For positive, I gotta go with anything Taylor Swift, and I'll now and then get the occasional Disney song stuck in my head.

For negative... thank goodness for my background in contemporary dance, so many feels and perfect for getting angst out. My go to negative, I need to feel I need to vent song has been the cover of "Wicked Game" by Ursine Vulpine. It's so dark and dramatic, it's a good output for angsty feelings.

Chiming in late, but Carlos Santana has told of his child sexual abuse in interviews many years ago.

I like songs of pain, conflict and destruction, which is clearly not a good thing. It is always black and white, and not nuanced at all.

I guess that music allows me to get catharsis on all the negativity My wife would say, "focus on something positive' , but that hasn't worked. at all.
