Thanks everyone for all your kind and heartfelt words. We come and read them and they remind us that we have accomplished so much and come so far -- it makes us feel humble. Accepting kindness is something we are learning too

NEWS FLASH!!!! ... we are retiring from our primary job in June! We have been doing this for 10 years and are moving on to bigger and better things. We will now be the director of our own center. This means we are responsible for everything! We have to deal with lots of children, parents, teachers, administrators, legislators, and various groups etc. We are being asked to do many speaking engagements. We are sought out by many for our expertise. We make profound differences in the lives of children, families, and many others each day.

We used to think that we were a fraud ... if they only knew the mess we really are ... but that is not true. That is a lie. Even though we have DID, we have incredible shared abilities.

We are starting a new phase in our life ...

We have DID
We have SA
We have betrayal by family, especially the mother

Now we are excited ... about what will be next ... what a refreshing place to be...

We are 53 and at a precipice ...

We are excited about our work. It is rewarding and we feel such passion for it... it is not even like work!

Our work is one means of avoidance and a way we isolate ... so we have decided ... we want to have friends and family in our life again... that will be a big focus in this next phase of our life.

Here is what is next ... Even though we have the above we will ...

...have limited work even though we are passionate about it
...have friends
...have husband time
...have family time
...have fun, laugh, be mindful, feel peace
...be healthy ... inside and out
...join a sanga
...join a church (...when we are ready again ...)

Everyone inside is excited and anxious about everything. Our T is helping us a lot with this transition. It is huge for us to want people in our life again... scary but exciting.

Next week is a vacation week we could fill it all with work ... we decided to go and see our dear friend and spend a few days with her ... we are excited ... we called her and made the plans... we are doing it !

Thanks to everyone for the support and kindness over the years! You are each a blessing as we share this path of healing
