Places I'd like to explore

Hi all,
This is a thread where in imagination, we can share where we might like to visit and why we'd like to go there....
New Zealand is my top wishful thinking country - to see ice meet fire, city and rough terrain almost side by side. Beautiful scenery whether rugged mountains, gushing fiords, serene lakes, wild ocean or gentle bays, forest and snow covered sites.

Loving this thread Xanthia….mmmm...for me right now it would be Canada, in particular Vancouver Island kayaking with orcas. Just to be able to silently sit and watch and feel their presence in the water.

So many from which to choose ...
Iceland and Ireland to investigate archeological sites where Viking and Roman artefacts have been located. Might discover buried treasure, smile
Plus, the scenery is beautiful (if the cameras aren't lying)
Also like to visit villages and maker's markets

For me would love to go to Portugal where my dads family come form before settling in Wales.
Also the little village of Zennor in Cornwall famous for its mermaid as love mermaids.

There are so many places i would love to have the confidence to explore (and away from my flight or fight stuff), particularly :
arctic areas (e.g. north Norway)
Amazon
more tribal areas of Papua New Guinea
More remote areas in India / Burma
Tibet / Bhutan / Nepal (but i get altitude sickness)
More of SE Asia

spent a bit of time looking it up, fascinating place
hard to get there for me though being in the UK
