Dissociation and DID: The Fundamentals (Peterborough - UK)

Post by Jonesy » Wed Apr 12, 2017 8:28 pm

Short notice - 21st April 2017

The course will cover completely new content to previous days and is suitable for survivors and professionals alike. It will answer questions such as:

What is dissociation and why does it happen?
What is it like to experience dissociation or have DID?
What are derealisation and depersonalisation and why do they happen?
How can you help someone who is 'dissociating'?
Where can they get help?
Should I talk to this person's 'parts' or 'alters'?
Am I or are they going crazy?
What is going on in the brain during dissociation?
Why and how do dissociative disorders develop?
Is this a lifelong condition? Or is there hope for recovery?
Why are they getting triggered? Why can't they just 'get over' it?
How can someone have dozens of 'parts of the personality'?! Why?
Is dissociation the same as psychosis, or schizophrenia?
How is DID different to PTSD?
Is DID a real condition or is it imagined?
