Aggressive shouting,
Violent hands,
Anxious child,
Familiar lands,
Whatever my age,
Toddler or teen,
Control and fear,
Shouldn't have been,
The memories won't fade,
And scars will remain,
Etched in my mind,
I remember the pain.
