Here we use another word for soda—-tonic. I think that’s what Coca Cola was first sold as because it contained—-

—- cocaine.

We could ask coconuts about the origins of chewing gum!

I've never heard tonic. That's a good one. I always thought of tonic as specifically quinine water, but it totally makes sense as a generic. I like them both!
