I recently read about this,and started to do it. Even though you may
think it small and unimportant,it's influence way outnumbers it's size.
It is this; make the commitment to dear self that no matter how small,you will
do ONE THING entirely for dear self EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR LIFE!
I forgot it the other day,but recalled it later,and said to self:"OK,I now make
a RE-COMMITMENT"!
It can be anything from putting on new clothing to treating
self with something you've always considered too expensive, to giving self a hug.
The thing is,that INTENTION is now in a little compartment in the mind,and can
permeate whole of other thoughts and activities. And it brings a smile to one's
face,when doing whatever in your day,and then remember,with a smile,"Ah,
the commitment",and so think up what it will be.

I find at the moment I can only justify things for me out of need rather than want.i suppose I fear being selfish or that I haven't earnt the right to deserve things just for me. i can see how it would be very healing to be kind to myself without guilt. Thank you for sharing this. I'll give it some thought
