813 Maryland st

Post by balexandra »

She put bullet through a Bible and thought it would empower her, but she felt nothing and that’s all she needed, to finally feel nothing. She stopped by my house the next morning and said, “I’m sorry but I still don’t feel like this life is worth living, you did all you can you do.”
She said, “I watched my house catch fire and I didn’t feel a thing.”
She said, “It’s easier to fall asleep just knowing that when I have something to say somebody’s listening to me.”

Lyrics from: "813 Maryland St." / Hotel Books/ Run Wild, Young Beauty/ 2015

I just need someone to listen.
Feel like such a burden.
They say just move on, move on
But how? He haunts me
It haunts me so much

Balexandra,
Yes, it is haunting.
Perhaps the hardest part of healing is to find someone whom you can trust, and then, because of that relationship, the haunting will become less.
