I've read some about what self care is. I'll give some examples.
Taking a warm bath to relax
Playing with a child or pet
Recreational sports to let stress go
Coloring in a coloring book
Facing something difficult


Hope these give you a better idea!

Thanks for the feedback. We're glad that you all like the idea of the new forum. And yes dancingfish, we thought it would be a good idea to put all of those threads in one place, too.

Kokoschka self-care is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. It's anything that a person does to take care of themselves. Even basic, necessary things like hygiene or making sure you are eating and drinking enough water can be considered self-care, among other things like all of the things there listed in her post.

It's been brought to our attention that some members aren't able to see the "New Topic" button in the new forum. I think I've figured out what the problem is, and hopefully fixed it. Could you guys let me know if it's working for you or not?

I know, l do shower and wash my hair and brush my teeth, change clothes and apply moisturizer and deo but it's like washing the dishes, l have no feeling of well being or that l'm taking care of myself. These are just actions l do automatically and l'm relieved when it's over. I don't like or let alone love myself, not a bit.
