Hi there

Post by truthseekr »

I joined a while back but this is the first I've decided to make use of the forum and become part of the community here. I've chosen the handle TruthSeekr for want of a better name, but it is apt because at this stage in my recovery journey I feel like things are beginning to make some kind of sense. There is so much obfuscation, amnesia and separation of parts of me with knowledge it's pretty disorientating and difficult to know what's 'real.' I guess if there's anywhere where people might understand what that's like it's here. It's been a long road and there's still plenty more to come, but I'm hoping for real change in my quality of life and a richer life which is not continually adversely influenced by past horrors.

All the best

Truthseekr,
This sounds like a good place for you. While member stories are not exactly alike, there seem to be common themes that run through them: What is happening to me? How did I get here? Can I trust my own emotions to help me figure things out? Can I trust my own memories even if people try to convince me otherwise?
