Thank you Jonesy for bird Watching area

Did you hurt anywhere else?
Ice is hard stuff to fall upon

May your arm heal quickly, easily

Hear kookaburras around sunset
Magpies carolling a few hours, off and on
Most birds here are raucous
Song birds they are not!

Jonesy, you did good with the bird watching area. It sounds sooooo peaceful, and I really could use some peace and calm right now. I'm so sorry you slipped on the ice and have a fracture. Is the arm in plaster now? I slipped yesterday too but not because of ice, just my knee being stupid. Thankfully there's no damage other than some seriously huge bruises and dented pride, lol. Please look after yourself.

Fleur!! It's so lovely that you are here. I love how you described the birds near you. Both you and Jonesy describe your birdies so well I can picture it.

And breathe....... I'm going to sit here a while

Hey Fleur & Banana

I luckily don't have my arm in a cast because the fracture is encased in muscle, so it's protected from further damage. Have a collar and cuff support. Biggest bruise forming on under right forearm where I smacked the wall on the way down and bruised knees. Am so lucky it wasn't any worse. Think I will be taking up residence in the bird area for a good few days to come.

ps love the kookaburra sound

Hello Banana, Jonesy

Comfrey is useful for healing bruising, bones
Gently smooth cream over area
Hilda Henne is best on Australia market

If you have comfrey in garden
Steam roughly chopped leaves in a little olive oil till they wilt; be careful as the fuzz can prickle and cause a rash; one time gloves are good to wear; fuzz softens in heat
When cool, place on skin, cover with clean cloth
Messy and often stains fabric green-brown
I use comfrey overnight to avoid difficulties in daily tasks

May you both enjoy relaxing with birds

Loving your healing recipe Fleur! Thanks

I have one too...
Mix the muffin ingredients together until of a smooth, runny paste consistency
Evenly distribute in cases and bake for 14 minutes @ 180 degrees C
Allow to cool, then gently drizzle melted chocolate over the top
When set, place in the mouth and savour slowly

* leaving some on a plate on the table

Jonsey,

Glad to hear that things weren't any worse for you! A co-worker may have a slight fracture in her foot. She showed me a pic of the bruising today and I thought of you!!

Thank you for the bird watching area. I like the sound of the morning dove. I remember them often from childhood. One of the good memories coming back :)

Today I am relaxing after work and looking forward to finishing up our Radiology Unit in class. Final exam for this mod is on Wednesday!

Yikes - but excited :)

Hello Fleur!

Thank you for your encouragement around my exam on Wednesday. I do not recall things as readily as all the young gals in my class - LOL!!

My co-worker is tired of sitting on the job, and tomorrow she will have a foot x-ray again. Lots of resting of her foot these days.

Thinking of you and your cat this afternoon (does your cat bird-watch as well?) hahaha

Hello Sheep

Soxy (cat) lets Magpies eat his food
I rescued a tiny wren once from his jaws

Mostly Soxy just looks

Am sure you have excellent study skills, recall

May your co-worker have diagnosis, soon good relief

Leaving fruit and tree nut clusters......

Ummm Fleur? - those fruit and tree nut clusters were an acquired taste, lol, but thanks so much. Love nuts but not so much a dried fruit fan.

Got the wood burning stove going today, so it's super cosy... so much so that I'm in danger of nodding off here in the corner. Got one eye on the plate of chocolate, fudge and toffee hot cross buns. Whoever dreamt up such a combination deserves to go down in the history books.
