I weep a tear;
For every hair that will never again blow in the soft morning breeze,
For chocolate smears that will never again see a grubby, canary yellow sleeve.
I weep a tear;
For every sound that will pass by, uncelebrated, along the way,
For every smile that will never again light up someones day.
I weep a tear;
For every sunrise, for every sunset your eyes will never meet,
For every weekend, for every time of rest, for just putting up your feet.
I weep a tear;
For every heart, you will never get to experience,
For every dream, for every hope brought to silence.
I weep a tear;
For the playtimes you never ever had,
For the “love” so painful, and down right bad.
I weep a tear;
For forgotten memories, veiled in time,
For painted evenings, laced with wine.
I weep a tear;
For a soft quiet voice that was cruelly silenced,
For life dreams removed with crazy violence.
I weep a tear;
For the pain and sheer loss you bore,
For the depth of the raw, the terror and sore.
I weep a tear;
For the hearts that have forgotten,
For words you’ve lost in this world, unspoken.
I weep a tear;
For the beauty of friendship they tried to steal away,
For your souls inside, that they used for play.
I weep a tear;
For gentleness, the soft pitter patter of rain,
For early mornings, no longer laced with pain.
I weep a tear;
Because although your body may be gone
Your life and memory inside me, will forever live on.
