let's do it-there's a tree called Merlin at the lake by my house. Lovely long branches with moss on them...hundreds of years old
we can picnic under it and smell the newly blossomed lilac bush nearby

Wow, I've been away from this thread a loooong time.
I'm still up for that tree climb, if you are, ws!

I'm enjoying paring down my possessions---cleaning some bed throws to donate, donated some clothing, recycled some things. I can see the floor at the foot of my bed!

Also, I'm finding joy in studying graphic design online, and self-taught music.

Graphic design? You're so artistic. :)
I was playing a Michael Jones piece on our piano yesterday. Thought of you.
Last week, I was working in my mom's lawn and a flock of wild turkeys came strutting by. Totally cracked me up.
They didn't really like my leaf blower though, so they didn't stick around.

wolfspirit,
Picturing the wild turkeys maybe scattering away from the leaf blower!

Will have to search Michael Jones...

ws,
I listened to something by Michael Jones on YouTube. You must be good on piano!

Feeling some joy and peace at the end of this Hotday spent inside being air conditioned.

Feel very happy that I made phone calls today, diving into one assignment, and connecting for appointments.

there,
I can't play the song as well as he does, but I'm practicing. I had ten years of piano lessons as a kid. The only thing my mom demanded we do every time we moved was to keep her kids in piano lessons. I have some wonderful memories of listening to my piano teachers play for me. It was an escape, for sure.
Now, I can read music and try to play. But it's my sister who plays naturally. She feels the music- you know? Just a gift for her.
My t told me to try and reconnect with the escape that the piano provided so I can remember some of the good things in my childhood.
I chose Michael Jones because he isn't religious and he doesn't remind me at all of anything bad.

Summer days are coming to a close and we missed a month of them due to fires. Had to stay indoors. Such a bummer for me. Oh well!

Good job making those calls and glad you're feeling productive. :)

ws,

Piano can be an escape, and a means of expression too. It's a big comfort to me, more now as I stop pressuring myself with it.
slow start today,
watched a movie on youtube called "Angel Dog". It was about a dog who showed up at someone's home when they were dealing with a loss. During the movie, the dog had chosen 3 different "owners". When the owners were healing enough, the dog found a new person to help.

Finding joy in just breathing and no particular cause atm.

<3 Fleur and there <3
There is a bird I see land on the tiniest of branches regularly. The branch sticks out from a huge branch and it is maybe four inches long. The bird lands on it and its feet cover the whole branch. Just cracks me up. It doesn't want to use the huge branch. Only the little one.
