New to the forum

Post by Gladiator » Sat Mar 24, 2018 4:25 pm

Hello, my name is Gladiator. I found this forum through my therapist, who highly recommended it as a supplementary form of support. I have been diagnosed with PTSD after childhood abuse and domestic violence which occurred in adulthood. Currently, have gone 4 months without self-harming or making a suicide attempt which is HUGE progress for me.

I look forward to getting to know you all and posting on this wonderful forum.

P.S- I put Medium Trigger since I did mention child abuse and domestic violence but did not get into specifics, was this the correct label?

I'm sorry for the reasons, but glad you are here. Please don't stress about the Trigger Warnings. You'll get the hang of them, and we are here to help.

With care,

Hello, Gladiator :)
Awesome for you to take the suggestion of your T. It's hard to reach out and share. Congrats on your 4 months of self care! That is a wonderful milestone in healing.

I have found this place to be so helpful that when I start to fall into my daily darkness, I remember that I can come here and read the stories of others' strength. And I know that I will have someone to hear me who gets it when I need help or just to vent.

I hope you find the solace and encouragement you need.

Welcome and congratulations on your four month milestone.

I’m sorry for your experiences, I also have experienced both childhood and domestic abuse. I hope you find support here.
